In Los Angeles, safety cameras have led to a 62% reduction in red light running crashes.
 
Safety cameras in Culver City have cut red light violations by 72%.
 
A 2011 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety study found safety cameras cut fatal red light running crashes by:
  • 63% in San Diego
  • 53% in Sacramento
  • 44% in Santa Ana
  • 34% in Long Beach
